Let’s start off with the good guys… The heroes of Wasteland are survivors more than anything, people born into a mad and chaotic world where they do anything they can to get by…
The lone gunslinger, and main character of the series. She’s a crack shot with her SR55 “Cobra” revolver, and possesses some powerful psychic abilities thanks to her cybernetic third eye. A true survivor of the Wasteland, we first meet her tracking a group of bandits known as the Mortal Knights, with the hopes of bringing them to justice.
Known to the FURA as “Prisoner 315-905” Cypher is a rogue cyborg super soldier created by the FURA’s Transhuman Science Division. He revels in violence and chaos, and just doesn’t know when to shut up. We first meet this murderous Cyborg after being captured by the FURA in London, ready to be transported to Mexico…
A bounty hunter living as a hermit far west in the desert of Chihuahua. He gets his nickname from the Mexican Federal Police badge he carries as an accessory. Was he once one of Mexico’s elite law enforcement division, or did he simply find the badge? Regardless of the truth, his reputation in Mexico’s bounty hunter community remains untarnished.
Now let us meet some of the villains… With the FURA being the main threat of the series, the bulk of the villains featured in Wasteland are Nazi scumbags. And as evil as they may be, they’re still people, with their own hopes and dreams. We want you to hate our villains, but we also want you to empathize with them a bit too, as just like our heroes, they are simply products of the system they live in…
Ford is a cunning field agent of the FURA’s Intelligence Bureau, and has been tasked with recapturing Cypher. Like Cypher, Ford is a cyborg, though unlike the rogue super-soldier, his implants are less extensive and are the result of a terrible accident, his augmentations acting more as a life support system rather than an enhancement. None the less, he is a ruthless and efficient killer.
That’s it for now, but as the series progresses, we’ll introduce more characters, which means they’ll be more art coming soon…
